Camping at festivals has become increasingly popular over the years, especially if you want to enjoy a full weekend without the limitations of having to leave at the end of each day.

For some, camping is half the fun and excitement of a festival, while for others, going home to a nice comfy bed in peace and quiet is more appealing!

Here are some of the pros and cons for camping at festivals;

Pros

• The festival is on your doorstep! Once the day is over, you can enjoy a short walk back to the camping facility rather than the rush to get hold of a taxi or catch public transport –  especially if trains and busses stop running at a certain time
• Camping for the weekend is more often than not cheaper than an off-site hotel for the same amount of nights, not including the price of transport to get back to your hotel on top of this!
• If you need to return to your belongings, say you’ve forgotten your camera or the weather has taken a turn and you need a raincoat, you’re only a short walk away back to your accommodation

Cons

• The queue for the toilets! Any experienced event organiser will have hired more than enough portable toilets, but sometimes even still, portable toilets can become full, run out of toilet paper or just become unclean and unhygienic
• Showers. Nobody wants to go a full weekend without showering, especially with the mud and glitter that is a staple for festivals in the UK
• Noisy neighbours. Camp sites are notorious for continuing the party after the main entertainment comes to end, and while this is a pro for most, some people just need their sleep after a long day!

Site Event may not be able to help with the noise, but we do have solutions for the others, with portable toilets and portable showers for hire!

We can provide large quantities of single plastic toilets along with event attendants to ensure that the toilets are clean and replenished. We can also provide toilet trailers in a variety of sizes and setups, including all male or all female units or a mix of both, which are great for providing a little luxury to your camp site.

Site Event also provide shower trailers, with each private individual shower bay including a shower curtain, mirror, seat and coat hooks. The shower bays are lockable and have a separate changing area to keep belongings and clothing dry and secure, ensuring absolute privacy and security.
