Reduce Hotel Costs and Daily Travel
Sleeper cabin hire helps reduce reliance on hotels, long commutes and daily travel for workers. For remote sites, long-term developments and projects with early starts, keeping workers on site can make planning easier, reduce travel time and cut accommodation costs.
| Example 6-Month Cost Comparison | Approx. Cost |
|---|---|
| Site Sleep twin sleeper cabin hire | Around ┬г5,070 |
| Typical hotel and travel costs for 2 workers | Around ┬г12,000+ |
| Estimated saving over 6 months | Around ┬г7,000+ |
With Site Sleep accommodation available from less than ┬г20 per person per night, contractors can create fixed on-site sleeping accommodation for the duration of the project.
Compared with booking hotels or arranging daily travel, Site Sleep sleeper cabins give your team a secure, self-contained and cost-effective on-site accommodation solution.
Figures are example estimates and may vary depending on hire duration, location, hotel rates, travel distance and project setup.
Vacuum Toilet and 75% Less Waste Tanking Costs
Each cabin includes a vacuum toilet, helping reduce water usage compared with standard toilet systems. This supports up to 75% less waste tanking costs, depending on site setup and usage.
The black and grey water systems are kept separate, giving your site more flexibility for waste management.
Black and Grey Water Systems
The sleeper cabin is designed with separate black and grey water systems. Waste can be connected into mains sewage where suitable, or directed into a waste tank.
A 500-gallon waste tank can be supplied as an add-on where mains drainage is not available. Site Equip can also support waste servicing through its tanker service where required.
Power, Water and Waste Requirements
The sleeper cabin requires a 16A single-phase electrical supply. It is mainly designed to run from mains electricity or a suitably sized generator.
For water, the unit can connect to mains water. It can also work with a water tank where a separate pump is supplied.
For waste, the unit can connect to mains drainage or use a waste tank setup. The correct setup depends on site access, services available, project duration and expected usage.
Servicing Available as Part of the Hire
Servicing is available as part of the hire and can include toilet roll, soap and paper towel replenishment.
Waste servicing, water refills and additional tanker visits can be arranged depending on the site setup and project requirements.
Anti-Vandal Sleeper Cabin for Site Security
The cabin is built for construction site use, with anti-vandal construction, secure shuttered windows, heavy-duty doors and locks. Optional keypad entry is also available.
This makes it suitable for live construction sites, compounds, remote projects and locations where secure overnight accommodation is required.
HIAB Delivery and Installation
Site Sleep sleeper cabins are delivered by HIAB lorry. The unit includes forklift pockets and lifting hooks to support safe positioning on site.
Site Equip supplies sleeper cabin hire across the South of England, including Hampshire, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Berkshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Dorset, Wiltshire and Greater London.
The cabin needs flat, suitable ground with safe access for delivery and installation. In some locations, plant such as a telehandler may be required to help move the unit into position from an artic or delivery area.
Installation usually takes less than one hour, depending on site access, ground conditions and service connections.
Customers must not move the sleeper cabin themselves after installation. Any relocation should be arranged through Site Equip.
Sleeper Cabin Hire vs Hotels
For longer projects, remote sites or teams working away from home, sleeper cabin hire can be a more practical alternative to hotels.
Site Sleep sleeper cabins keep workers closer to site, reduce daily travel, support early starts and give contractors better control over accommodation planning.
They are especially useful for construction sites, energy projects, utilities, infrastructure works, roadworks, rural locations and long-term developments.
Need Welfare, Toilets or Waste Tanks Too?
Site Equip can support your wider site setup with portable toilets, welfare units, waste tanks and tanker servicing.
Pairing sleeper cabins with welfare units, toilets and waste solutions helps create a more complete site accommodation setup for workers staying on or near site.
