Site Equip Supports World Water Day 2019! ?
Today Site Equip supports World Water Day 2019, a day celebrated globally on March 22nd and focuses on tackling the water crisis around the world by addressing how and why this is still an issue.

World Water Day, observed annually on March 22nd, is an event created by the United Nations to highlight the importance of fresh water. It advocates for sustainable management of freshwater resources. The UN launched World Water Day in 1993 to promote peace, security, and global cooperation.
Today, UN-Water coordinates World Water Day and spreads awareness through campaigns, fundraisers, social media, short videos, theatre, and advertisements. The aim is to educate the public about the global water crisis and the need for action.
Leaving no one behind
The theme for World Water Day 2019 is “Leaving No One Behind.” This theme highlights the billions still living without safe water and explores why many people are left behind. Fresh water is a basic human right, yet 748 million people lack access to an improved drinking water source. Marginalised groups, such as women, children, and refugees, face further challenges in accessing safe water. These groups often experience discrimination.

What are Site Equip doing to help?

We can deliver water refills to sites across the South of England to increase welfare facilities, enabling all workers to have access to clean water to increase sanitation and decreasing contamination.

We design our vacuum toilet pods to recycle water from our shower trailers at large events. The shower trailers pump grey water waste into the vacuum pods.
