Having access to a toilet is a basic human right which can often be taken for granted. We are fortunate enough as a country to have access to clean toilets, both publicly and in the privacy of our own homes, however over 50% of the worlds population do not have such privilege. An astounding 4.2 billion people live without safely managed sanitation which is why we need to take action and tackle this global crisis.

World Toilet Day 2019 was established by the World Toilet Organisation in 2001 and is celebrated on 19th November each year. The aim of World Toilet Day is to help raise awareness and inspire us to take action to help achieve sustainable sanitation to all countries by 2030, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by United Nations.

What are Site Equip doing to help?

Here at Site Equip we are increasingly conscious of our water usage and the impact we have on the environment. We have developed a solution that not only uses significantly less water and paper usage, but can also recycle water!

Our vacuum toilet pods recycle greywater from shower trailers at large events. The greywater waste from the showers pumps into the vacuum toilet pods, reducing fresh water use. The 3-bay and 6-bay pods also minimize water consumption, using only 0.5L per flush, compared to 6-9L in conventional toilets. By reducing water consumption. We are taking a step forward to being as economically friendly as possible. Encourage other companies to do the same until it becomes standard practice!

We can deliver water refills to sites across the South of England to increase welfare facilities. Enabling all workers to have access to clean water to increase sanitation and decreasing contamination. We can supply up to 400 gallons in one load of water.
