Site Equip Have Been Shortlisted for Two Awards at The Hire Awards of Excellence 2019! ??

Site Equip is thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for two awards at the Hire Awards of Excellence 2019! We’re up for Best Use of New Media for our social media campaign. ‘Cheers to 30 Years’ and Hire Industry Product Of The Year for our 6 Bay Luxury Vacuum Toilet Pods.

The Hire Awards of Excellence 2019 will take place on Saturday 13th April. At the beautifully luxurious Grosvenor House Hotel, situated on Park Lane offering a stunning view of Hyde Park.

Strictly Come Dancing star and TV presenter Anton Du Beke will host the ceremony. He will present 13 awards, including Best Use of New Media and Hire Industry Product of the Year, both of which Site Equip is nominated for. Judges will independently evaluate all participants based on strict criteria to ensure fair, well-deserved results.

The Hire Awards of Excellence 2019 celebrates the achievements of hire companies across the country. It acknowledges and appreciates their hard work with a prestigious award. The evening showcases the best products and practices in the hire industry, recognizing the dedication companies put into meeting today’s hire demands.

Hire Industry Product Of The Year

Our 6 Bay Luxury Vacuum Toilet Pods have been nominated for Hire Industry Product Of The Year. These pods are unique to Site Event, designed, manufactured, and decorated in our workshop by our sister company, Site Build.

The pods offer a deluxe design with impressive environmental benefits. They consume only 0.5L per flush, compared to the 9L in traditional toilets. This is made possible by the vacuum function, which vacuums waste into a large external tank, reducing water usage.

Additionally, the pods reduce transportation costs. Four units fit on one load, cutting our carbon footprint by 75% compared to four separate vehicle trips.

Best Use Of New Media

Site Equip have been running the ‘Cheers to 30 Years’ social media campaign since October 2018 to mark 30 years in the business. Our family-led company began in 1988, founded by our managing director, Geoff Gilbert, and his wife, Sonia Gilbert. They pioneered portable toilet hire, starting with construction and later expanding into event hire.

The aim of the campaign is to showcase our success stories, history and expertise through the use of old and new media collected over the last 30 years in business. As part of the campaign, we have designed and arranged our images to be able to work both individually and as a part of a grid, with each image feeding into the next to create a fluid visual aesthetic. The images included are a mixture of old and new photographs, newspaper clippings and magazine articles which link in to the most current blog post or event that we are celebrating.
