Site Equip Charity of the Year Reveal! ?

We’re excited to announce that our team at Site Equip has chosen YPI Counselling as our Charity of the Year for 2021!

“Supporting hundreds of young people, parents and professionals each year, YPI is the leading youth counselling charity in Basingstoke. We provide Mental Health and emotional support to young people aged 11 to 25 years old and parents of all ages through a range of interventions including 1-to-1 counselling sessions, group work and psycho-educational activities. We pride ourselves on being a locally run charity with a strong community focus. Throughout our 20-year history, we have actively partnered with a variety of local community groups to continuously improve the services available to young people and parents; developing new services specifically aimed at areas of deprivation or need.”

After reviewing some incredible charities submitted for our 2021 Charity of the Year, our team has selected YPI Counselling as our Charity of the Year for 2021! Site Equip hopes to support them in providing counselling for young people aged 11–25-year-olds, 12 sessions free mentoring for ages 10 – 19-year-olds, 12 weeks free mentoring for young parents and care leavers aged 17 – 25 years-old and specialist counselling.

YPI Counselling formed 20 years ago to offer advice, support, and counselling to young people in Basingstoke and Deane. In November 2003, the organisation refocused solely on counselling. In 2009, they moved to The Orchard on White Hart Lane, Basingstoke. This allowed them to increase counselling sessions in a secure office with an inner counselling room.

We are excited to support YPI Counselling and help raise funds for their free counselling services. On average, each counselling session costs £40, with a full course of sessions totaling around £240. For every £240 raised, we help provide life-changing mental health and emotional support to young people in Basingstoke and Deane.

As Site Equip’s Charity of the Year for 2021, we are committed to raising funds for YPI Counselling. We’re introducing new and exciting ways to fundraise throughout this pandemic year.

Our COVID-friendly fundraising ideas kick off with a simple donation: the cost of one pint. Later this year, our team will get sporty, creative, and bake to support this incredible charity.
