Get To Know The Team; Cal Medhurst

Welcome to the next member in our series of getting to know the Site Equip team! Today we meet our Plant Operations Manager, Cal Medhurst.

Which part of the company do you work for?

I work in Yard for all 3 diversions of the company.

Please explain what you do in a few sentences!

I oversee the everyday running of the yard, supervising a small team, ensuring everything is prepared, cleaned and ready to go out.

What’s your favourite thing about event season?

My favourite thing is getting all of the stock ready and waiting to go out to these events.

What’s your favourite moment in your job?

It’s hard to pick a favourite moment as I have only been here for 3 months, but I really enjoy working outside in the sun and having a great team working with me.

What’s your biggest achievement within the company?

My biggest achievement so far is all equipment has made it out of the yard on time to all of the events so far! Fingers crossed this continues!

What piece of advice would you give to yourself at the beginning of your career?

Ask for help instead of trying to do everything myself all the time.

What do you do to unwind?

I have a 13 year old son who plays football for a Sunday league team, so I spend a lot of my weekends watching him play/train.

What’s your party trick?

I don’t have one, nothing appropriate to tell.

Anything exciting coming up?

I am going on holiday to Zante at the end of July with my sons!
