A Day In The Life Of The Construction Toilet Hire Team
When I first came to work at Site Equip I got lots of ribbing from family and friends about the fact that I am flogging bogs! Having worked in other industries such as security, electronics and law this was a bit of a change but I am happy to say that it is one for the better. Who would have thought that talking crap all day could be so much fun?
I am lucky to be working in Construction Toilet Hire and there is never a dull moment. I get to speak with so many interesting people, from individuals working on their own home improvements, one man band builders to buyers at large construction companies. We don’t just help builders either. We get to help people needing toilets at golf courses, farms, forests, airfields and anywhere else you can think of where toilet facilities are hard to come by. Some conversations can be quite hilarious and I love talking to our customers.

One thing that has never ceased to amaze me that construction toilet hire facilities can be so overlooked, especially as they are a health and safety requirement! We often receive calls from sites where everything is set up, work is ready to begin, and then someone realizes, “Oh dear, we don’t have a thunder box!” It quickly becomes an urgent matter and the main focus of attention. Let’s face it, when you gotta go you’ve gotta go! “Can you get one here today?” Is often the request. Well of course we will always try to help and more often we can, but there are occasions when a day or two’s notice would be very helpful indeed.
The Construction Toilet Hire Team
The guys I work with are amazing. Our service drivers are always busy and work long hours out on the road clearing up other peoples mess. If you see them out and about, please be nice to them. It’s a tough job but somebody’s got to do it.
Our yard is always buzzing! With construction toilet hire equipment coming in and out, being cleaned, prepared for the next hire and loaded onto the transport, there is always something going on. I start work at 0830 but there are guys here long before that and well after I go home in the evening, especially if they have to do a special delivery in the middle of the night. It really is a pretty slick operation. It can be a little smelly in the office at times, especially when the tankers come to collect the effluent, but there is usually a can of air freshener to hand.
Running a large and busy operation means things don’t always go as planned. They work tirelessly to ensure customer satisfaction. We strive for excellence, even when challenges arise.
So to all my friends and family out there, I love my job, am proud of what we achieve and wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

We have been using SiteEquip for a while now, I have always found that Stella has been very helpful if we have any problems or we need a quick delivery done to one of our sites. Stella has always appeared to be very happy and profesional in what she does a credit to the company.
I have used Site Equip so some years now, Stella is charming and efficient , I’m sure it must be very hard being enthusiastic about toilets but Stella does a great job of coving it up. Always a pleasure working with Stella.
Well done Stella
