Celebrate World Portable Sanitation Day!

World Portable Sanitation Day on 15th August 2015 will be the 2nd year the day has been celebrated. This day announced by PSAI will raise awareness of the importance of adequate sanitation around the world. The The World Health Organization estimates that 2.5 billion people globally lack access to adequate sanitation.

Portable sanitation conserves approximately 125 million gallons of fresh water daily, totaling nearly 46 billion gallons yearly. It supports environmental sustainability by recycling wastewater and using solid waste as a natural fertilizer for crops. The portable sanitation industry addresses critical sanitation challenges, offering solutions where mains-connected toilets require extensive sewer infrastructure and rely heavily on limited water resources. This innovative approach makes portable sanitation a practical and eco-friendly choice for enhancing global hygiene and sustainability.
