A Day In The Life Of Our Accounts Team! The team speak about what a ‘average day’ is like for them here at Site Equip! They all predominately work in our head office in Lasham, Hampshire.

What Does A Day In The Life Of Our Accounts Team Look Like?

The day for our accounts team will start with checking the bank account to see what payments have been received, then working through the mailbox responding to queries and requests. Throughout the day they answer calls, emails and internal queries. Day to day they speak with customers and suppliers, investigating queries or disputes and update sage to ensure all figures are accurate.

Midweek, the team raises weekly invoices, processes Sage payments, and calculates wages efficiently. They also handle monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks. In accounts, accuracy is crucial. The team ensures precise data entry, follows processes and procedures, and completes tasks on time.


What Do You Individually Do?

Phillipa is our finance manager in the accounts department, her daily activities include processing purchase invoices. Raising customer credits, downloading bank statements and opening and distributing post. She compiles weekly wages spreadsheets, enters them into Sage Payroll, sends out payslips. Prepares supplier payment runs, and chases unsigned invoices.

Katherine is our credit control and sales ledger and her role primarily deals with queries and requests from both construction and event customers in regards to their accounts. Some of her daily tasks include checking customers credit reports, downloading and posting bank statements/Sage Pay payments. Running an invoice report and sending to customers, entering purchase invoices into our Syrinx software and sending statements to customers via email or post.

What Is Your Top Skill?
