Today we’re taking part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning – The world’s biggest coffee morning!
Site Equip’s Macmillan Coffee Morning
Having had our very own successful “Site Equip Bake Off” last year, when we found out about the Macmillan Coffee Morning taking place today – September 28th – we were very excited to take part – no convincing the boss needed! Us girls in the main office spend most of our day talking about food, whether it’s what we’re having for dinner, what we’ve brought in for lunch or how our dinner turned out the night before! If we’re not talking about it, I can guarantee at least one of us is thinking about it. So today we can spend the day talking, thinking and eating food *and* it’s all for a good cause!
Whilst enjoying some of our colleagues fantastic bakes, we will also be helping fund Macmillan nurses, provide cancer information and answer calls on Macmillan Support Line by donating some money. Last year alone, £27 million was raised from the Coffee Morning which shows how every little coffee morning can help! We’re looking forward to seeing how much can be raised this year!
Today, we had a variety of homemade bakes including marmite and cheese swirls, banana and walnut loaf, courgette and spinach muffins, sausage rolls, marshmallow crispy cakes, chorizo and bacon quiche, pumpkin pie (from Dan’s very own homegrown pumpkins!), cheesecake and salted caramel brownies to name a few! Our varied dishes has created a tasty morning – I don’t think many of us will be needing our lunch.
Whilst we’re sat in the office enjoying our delicious home bakes all in support of Macmillan, do take a look at how you can support this brilliant cause here.
Happy baking!
