Site Equip have had the pleasure of indulging in some sugary goodness this morning for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, as well as our own charity of the year, St Michael’s Hospice! Macmillan Coffee Morning 2019
From savoury sausage rolls to sweet cinnamon swirls, our office staff have baked (and faked!) some delicious dishes in aid of the wonderful charity that supports people living with cancer, as well as sharing the proceeds with St Michael’s Hospice.
It was hard to resist eating our body weight in cake before 9am, but it has kept us going this Friday & all for a great cause too! For £1 a slice, or £5 unlimited (the most popular choice in the office!) we have managed to raise a great amount for both the charities.
Last year alone Macmillan’s Coffee Morning raised a staggering £26,914,382 for Macmillan Cancer Support, and they are hoping to smash that number this year! We are glad to be a part of such an amazing cause.
Some of the delicious baked goodies included;
- White (Milky Bar) Chocolate Cheesecake, with a buttery rich tea biscuit base
- Dark chocolate lava brownies
- Cumberland sausage and Chorizo sausage rolls with fennel seeds
- Orange & Pistachio drizzle cake (A healthy option!)
- Galaxy chocolate muffins
- Cinnamon swirls
- Brownies with marshmallows & Raspberries
- Victoria sponge cake 50/50 split with jam and marmalade with white chocolate drizzle and sweetie toppers
- Bacon & chorizo quiche (made by Bex’s amazing mother who is battling cancer at the moment!)
