The mess area includes seating, a worktop, hard-wired microwave and kettle, warm-water washing facilities and storage space under the counter. The office area includes a desktop/worktop, lighting, heating and power socket access where supplied.

Site Equip delivers the unit with fuel in the tank at the start of the hire. The customer is responsible for refilling diesel during the hire period if the tank becomes empty.

The unit includes a 58-litre fuel tank, Fuel Active system and approximately 25 hours of fuel tank runtime, depending on site use.

Water, Waste and Recirculating Chemical Toilet

The Solar 16ft Welfare Unit includes a 20-litre fresh-water container and 20-litre waste-water container for welfare use. It also includes warm-water washing facilities, a stainless steel sink and a forearm wash basin.

Site Equip does not supply drinking water. Customers must provide drinking water separately for their operatives.

The unit includes a recirculating chemical toilet with a 135-litre toilet tank, allowing it to operate on sites without mains drainage.

Weekly Chemical Toilet Servicing Included

Every hire includes one weekly service for the recirculating chemical toilet. Our service team removes effluent, recharges chemicals, replenishes toilet roll, soap and paper towels, and carries out a basic clean of the toilet compartment.

Fresh-water replenishment is not included as standard. Customers can arrange water visits or additional chemical toilet servicing where required, subject to availability and extra charges.

For high-use sites, we recommend reviewing the servicing frequency at the start of the hire.

Delivery, Setup and Site Requirements

Site Equip delivers the Solar 16ft Welfare Unit using a towing vehicle. The unit uses a hydraulic lowering system and normally takes around 15–20 minutes to deploy. We allow approximately 30 minutes on site for delivery and setup.

Before delivery, the site must provide:

• Flat, firm ground
• Safe towing vehicle access
• Clear access within approximately 3 metres of the agreed position
• Enough space for delivery and deployment
• Good daylight exposure for the solar panel where possible
• Ongoing access for servicing visits

Customers must not tow or move the unit around site themselves. Please arrange any movement through Site Equip.
