? RED ALERT!
Did you notice that we’ve changed our Site Event logo from yellow to red? We have changed our logo to support the event industry in Light It In Red. Red Alert is a campaign hosting major outdoor events in London and across the UK on Tuesday 11 August, calling on the Government to “THROW US A LINE!”
We’ve made this temporary change to our logo colours to help draw attention to the critical condition of the UK live event and entertainment industry, and its need for special government support to see it through to re-starting.
The dynamic “creative sector” which includes live entertainment, music, events, theatre, performance, and the arts generates around £110 billion annually (based on DCMS figures) for the UK economy and is known for its invention, passion, and flair. Currently, unlike other industries, there’s no set date for live events, shows, festivals, and performances, etc. to restart after the Covid-19 shutdown. Venues are shuttered, companies and suppliers are closed with employees furloughed or laid off, tens of thousands of self-employed freelancers have not been eligible for any of the Government COVID-19 related financial assistance schemes.

On Tuesday 11th August 9pm #LightItInRed are asking companies and event locations throughout the UK to join #WeMakeEvents in lighting their building or structure in RED in order to draw attention to the dramatic situation facing our industry.
#WeMakeEvents and #LightItInRed are working together once again to co-ordinate buildings across the UK switching to red along with many other events taking place on the same day.
Please show your support for the event industry by sharing and promoting this campaign to save the events industry.
