With the weather hotting up, and summer just around the corner, beer drinker’s are questioning ‘what’s next in Beer Festivals?!’.
There is always a new beer to try, brewery to discover, or Beer Festivals to look forward to – and what a year it’s looking to be for beer!
Just recently, Farnham Beerex celebrated their 40th Anniversary, with beer, bands, and burgers! With traditional draught beer from 20 breweries, and specials from Frensham and Art Hop breweries, it was set to be a big one, and it did not disappoint! I was lucky enough to attend alongside my father, who reminisced over great craft beer with old friends and music.
Another local festival to look forward to is the Guildford Beer Festival. Heading in to it’s Seventh year, the GBF will feature around 80 different cask ales, sourced from independent and micro breweries – their main aim is to pick an electic range of drinks, covering ale and lager from across Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, London and Sussex!
Still situated close to home, Reading Beer Festival is another festival to have just celebrated it’s 21st Anniversary! This cask ale festival boasts a huge beer selection, and has tombola, morris dancing as well as folk music and fancy dress! Classed as an ‘old school festival’ – but has modern brews too.
In months to come, The Great British Beer Festival will be upon us, offering visitors over 900 real ales and international beers, alongside ciders and perries. With great food, entertainment and traditional pub games to enjoy, this is set to be the best festival of 2016.
A key thing to highlight on events like this is (yup, you guessed it), the toilets! It is an event organisers responsibility to provide suitable and sufficient sanitation. For events as large as these, there are a number of important factors to review, such as the duration, as well as the amount of food and more importantly, fluid consumption. It can be difficult to determine what level of facilities you require – check out our toilet calculator guide on our website to find out how many toilets you’ll need!
