Site Equip have been providing site WC hire to the South East of England for over 30 years, and we are often asked the same old question; How many toilets do I need?
According to HSE regulations, by law a workplace must have at least one site WC hire per 15 workers, so if your site does not have access to a toilet, then you will need to provide temporary portable toilet hire. At Site Equip, we strongly recommend one portable toilet per 7 workers over a 40 working hour week, this is to ensure that the unit does not overflow ahead of your free weekly service, which we include in every hire. We can also provide a servicing on an ad hoc basis, should you need an additional empty ahead of your scheduled service.
Site Equip can provide various types of site WC hire to suit your requirements, whether you are after a standard cold water chemical loo for a site which is constantly evolving, or a mains connected loo for something more permanent, like a home renovation.
Types of Site WC Hire Available with Site Equip
- Cold Water Portable Chemical Toilet – Commonly known as ‘builders loos’, these cold water portable chemical toilets are widely used across construction sites due to their lightweight design, making them easily manoeuvrable across a developing working site. The benefit of using these loo’s is that they are completely self sufficient, they do not require electricity, waste removal or a water supply, so they can be places almost anywhere on site!
- Hot Water Portable Toilet – Similar in design to our cold water portable chemical toilets, the hot water portable toilets have the added luxury of a temperature controlled hand-wash basin. These units do require a power outlet for the internal water heater.
- Mains Connected Portable Toilet – Our mains connected portable toilets are great for projects that are within access to mains, sewage & water connections and can be treated much the same as a standard toilet. The porcelain toilet flushes the waste into an external waste management system, meaning a fresh water flushing
- Mains Toilet Blocks – The mains toilet blocks are most suitable for long term, more permanent projects as they are static units that stay in place. Like the mains connected toilets, the toilet block requires access to mains, sewage & water connection and functions like a standard toilet with hot water and a fully functioning flushing loo.
