When planning for construction, one of the most popular questions we are asked is ‘How many WC’s are required for my site?’
Knowing how many WC’s to have on site is a vital question you need to ask yourself when planning your construction site. Having too little can cause over use, resulting in unpleasant odours and overflows.
The amount of WC’s required is down to two things; How many people are on site and how long they are on site for. As a rule of thumb, we tend to say at least one portable toilet per 7 persons per 40 hour working week.
Once you’ve established how many WC’s are required, the next question is what portable toilet to hire will suit your site best. We have three options for our single portable toilets, our cold water chemical toilet, hot water chemical toilet and our mains connected toilet.
Cold Water Chemical Toilet
Our cold water chemical toilet is one of our most popular option as it is a self contained unit, meaning no power is required. The toilet is easily manoeuvrable and can be transported around your site as it evolves.
Hot Water Chemical Toilet
Our hot water chemical toilet is essentially our cold water chemical toilet, except it is hot water from the wash basin, with an optimum hand washing temperature of 40-43˚C. The wash basin is large enough to wash up to your elbow as per HSE Regulations. This unit requires mains power.
Mains Connected Toilet
The mains connected toilet is very popular with sites that have access to mains drainage, water and an electricity supply. Once connected the unit becomes fully self contained and will not require servicing, meaning less thing to worry about.
Toilet Blocks
We also provide static and wheeled toilet blocks which are ideal for long term sites. These come in a variety of different formations from 1+1, 2+2, and 3+2.
