Use Our Welfare Calculator To Work Out Which Welfare Unit Is Right For You ?

By law, a site manager should always ensure that workers on site, whether directly employed by them or not, should have access to welfare facilities. Use our welfare calculator for construction sites to work out which unit is best for your site.

welfare calculator for construction sitesAccording to the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) Guide on welfare at work, if you employ anyone (however short the period) you must ‘so far as is reasonably
practicable’, provide adequate and appropriate welfare facilities for them while they are at work.

Welfare facilities should include; areas for washing, toilets, rest and changing facilities, and somewhere clean to consume hot and cold food and drinks during breaks. Check out our chart below to work out which welfare unit is best for you;

 

1-7 people on site

If your site has up to 7 workers on site, then we would suggest our 12′ welfare unit. Measuring at 3.6m x 2.4m, this unit includes a free weekly service as standard, and incorporates a canteen area with kettle and microwave, a seating area and table, drying room and chemical toilet.

8-10 people on site

If you have between 8-10 workers on site, then our 16′ welfare unit and a single portable toilet would be right for you. This 16′ unit measures at 5.4m x 2.4m and also includes a free weekly service and incorporates a canteen area with kettle and microwave, a seating area and table, drying room, chemical toilet and a separate office.

10-16 people on site

If your site has up to 16 workers, then we suggest our largest welfare unit. Our 20′ welfare unit and two portable toilets measures at 7m x 2.4m and has the same layout as our 16′ unit, however the 20′ includes a larger seating area. A free weekly service is included as standard.

The loos were amazing

Fantastic! The loos were amazing to look at and everyone at the wedding was talking about them. They were spotless too.
